From the very beginning of human visual culture the sacral and the secular were intertwined and art and food have a long association across time and space in the history of art. To celebrate these associations and to focus on particular times, spaces and social contexts the symposium organisers invited speakers to join them in a colloquium on "Aat and Food" on 25 August, 2012.
