The 2018 Tertiary Education Research in New Zealand (TERNZ) Conference will be held at Victoria University of Wellington from 28 – 30 November. There are opportunities for presentations of paper sessions, posters and research or teaching showcases – all accepted abstracts will be included in an online proceedings. TERNZ is open to anyone who is interested in research related to learning and teaching. We particularly welcome people from the wider tertiary education sector who are interested in applications to their educational field.

A distinctive feature of this conference is its emphasis on spaces for discussion and reflection. Instead of traditional paper presentations, themes will be developed through a series of more extended conversations led by the presenter, in which all participants will have the opportunity to play an equal part to promote discussion and sharing of ideas.

The conference reception on the 28th November will include a showcase of original and engaging approaches in either research or teaching as well as posters and we encourage you to consider making submissions for this as well as for the parallel sessions. Pre-conference workshops will be offered on the afternoon of the 28th November. More information about these will be available via the TERNZ 2018 website in the near future.

The closing date for abstracts is 15th October, 2018.  Registration closes on 21st November, 2018.

TERNZ is sponsored by Ako Aotearoa and Victoria University of Wellington and supported by HERDSANZ.
