Art and Research

Strong and reliable research is a vital component to produce quality artworks, at Dunedin School of Art. We offer a varied and growing suite of research-based programmes for postgraduate students and masters candidates which encourage multidisciplinary collaborations and connections with community.

Students are continuously adapting to constant change in national and international contemporary practices. Throughout the year there is a weekly seminar programme of guest speakers, artists in residence and visiting artists to complement studio practice. In addition special projects and symposia are held each year to encourage cross-disciplinary research and the sharing of practice and systems.
