New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 4)

Start on your path to becoming a Personal Trainer with this exciting new programme. Learn how to teach exercise, gain an understanding of human anatomy and physiology, and discover how the role of behaviour change can lead to lasting results for your clients. Successful completion will enable you to apply for registration as a gym instructor with REPs NZ (Register of Exercise Professionals New Zealand).

New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 5)

Gain the skills and knowledge you need to become a Personal Trainer. With this hands-on qualification, taught by highly-experienced and industry-connected staff, you will discover how to plan, implement and evaluate exercise programmes. By also studying nutrition and behaviour, you will be fully prepped to work with clients in a holistic manner. Successful completion of this Level 5 Certificate will enable you to apply for registration as a Personal Trainer with REPs NZ (Register of Exercise Professionals New Zealand).

Bachelor of Applied Science

With specialties in Sport, Exercise, Health and Massage* Are you passionate about sports, exercise or health? Do you like working with people? Do you want to help others improve their lives to reach their potential? If you answered yes to all of these then this contemporary degree is the pathway for you. It is based around practical experiences and problem-based learning, where you are the centre of the puzzle and the context determines the learning and outcomes. You will learn to reflect and critique your own and others practice in relation to the underpinning theory. Staff will work in partnership with you to develop and build your learning pathway. By focussing on career outcomes there will be the opportunity to gain “real world” industry experience and take part in community based projects with the support of staff. This degree will allow you to develop the transferable skills that make you work ready.

Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Science

The qualification will help you extend and deepen your knowledge of the underpinning base theories and procedures used in the practice environment, in a wider and more encompassing scope than a postgraduate certificate. Master of Applied Science
